“Nobel?” Az rolled the word around her tongue like it was a tasty morsel before giggling. One serrated claw crept along the grass until her scaly foreleg was stretched out and before the mouthy two-legger. “You confuse me with a Rider’s mount, yappy thing. I am a free dragon, and I choose not to befriend or honor my snacks before I get around to nomming on them. So if you would like to remain in one piece… how’s about you button that lip?" The white dragon tried to keep her face stern, but really, what was the point. Humans were little more than toys to her, Riders more expendable than the others. She didn’t like their taste, so the threat of actually eating one was hollow.
Still, no need for Light and Fluffy to know that.
Az withdrew her claw and settled more comfortably, wings flat to her back, tail wrapped close to her body. She hadn’t planned on stopping to chat with Rider scum or fiery balls of Fluff, but she didn’t really have other plans. Besides, she was learning interesting things and that tended to put her in a delighted mood. It was her weakness, aye the weakness of most dragons. Knowledge. She craved it and enjoyed it, be it from another, wiser creature, or the ant of a being before her, this… Valkenallen. Strange name. She lowered her nose to the ground, resting while she went over the things Valkenallen had in his mind.
It was sloppy telepathy. Clearly the man was not accustomed to chatter with dragons, but he had potential. She cocked her head to the side as she listened, and watched his mind, replaying what he showed her. Other humans, his attachment to them strong… family. She snorted a bit when he showed her a Rider, but she declined to comment on it. Again, she put her words straight to him, leaving Light and Fluffy out of the conversation. <Giving up a legacy is no easy thing, Valkenallen. You can run and you can hide from it, but your blood will lead you back home. Always. Pride be damned. > There was a hint of discontent in her tone as she looked back up toward the mountain.
<My name is Azkadee, Valkenallen. And I will not eat you.> Az grinned, one white eye intent on the two-legger. <Not today, in any event. But don’t tell your mate there. I prefer her silent.>

"What?" Alice replied to valken, while his eyes were lost in the nowhere, he didn’t even knew what was he looking at, he’s glare was lost, he only had reflections of his parents in his mind, and suddenly the fire burn in every single part of his mind, making him blind and wanting to forget every single thought of it. He just wanted to quit. For an unknown reason, he had his suspects, that his sister was murdered for having the blood of an Allen, and she could bring later a son that could be a rider too, and they killed his mother too, just for try to protect her, and where was he? He should be there to save them, but again, he was in the wrong place at the wrong moment. That would not happen again, and that was what he was feeling now for Alice, he knew that the female dragon wouldn’t kill them.. for now. But now she was his friend, and as a friend he needed to protect her, no matter his name, no matter his blood, friendship was better than being alone. Stay close to me he said, again whispering into her ear, he could almost hear and feel trough her hand the beat of her heart, something unusual, but he could feel it. But Valken was sure, he didn’t wanted to be a rider anymore, even if that were running into his blood. <Giving up a legacy is no easy thing, Valkenallen. You can run and you can hide from it, but your blood will lead you back home. Always. Pride be damned. > Valken nodded in a ‘no’ and quickly replied in his head <<Blood is a huge bond, but no one said it would be easy, same impossible, but again, If you were born to be a slave, you would be one by now, and your free, your doing what you want on your own, why wouldn’t I be as free as you are? I bet on it, the day you decide to be a slave, I will be rider, until that day, I will choose my own destiny>> Valken stated very firm of what he just said, he was truly sure he wouldn’t be a good rider either, he just wanted to live free, in a far away land, probably marrying Alice and having like 5 kids. <My name is Azkadee, Valkenallen. And I will not eat you. Not today, in any event. But don’t tell your mate there. I prefer her silent.> Valken giggled, For sure Alice was a tiny person but damn, she could have climbed that dragon and slapped her. You don’t know what girls are when they are fighting. <Thanks, I wont… well there is nothing I could do for you, but silent her, hahaha, wait… are there more free dragons out there? And how happens that a rider choose a dragon? Or the dragon chooses him? Im confused Az> he thought, while he glanced and smiled at Alice, an honest and funny smile. “I will take you home, I promise, seems like you can get yourself into a black hole he stated with an open smile.

Alice gritted her teeth, feeling the urge to shout another sharp comment straight back at the dragon. But she could almost feel Valken's...was it fear that she might get killed. So Alice shut her mouth, giving the dragon a glare as pointed as daggers. "Okay," she muttered, glare not leaving the dragon even once.
What exactly was it that she that she was missing, she wondered while she glared. What was she being left out off? Alice suddenly felt like she was in the same room with two adults who were talking like she wasn't there. Like her parents. Bitterness ate at her heart, drawing her stare to the ground. Alice felt suddenly alone. The same way she felt at home.
Alice looked up at the boy next to her in horror as he said those words. She yanked her hand free from his and took a few steps back. "No," she shot in an upset tone. "I don't want to go home. I'd rather be eaten by this lame excuse for a dragon first!" Alice crossed her arms and turned away from Valken. Normally, she might have grinned back at Valken, or even laughed. But not now. Not when her parents were so fresh on her mind. Not when he said he'd take her home.

<Then may we both retain our freedom, Valkenallen.>
Az looked back up at the mountain. She was drawn to this place despite her anger and irritation at those who ruled the peak. She couldn't help it. It was in her nature to seek out others of her kind, and Maldragua was crawling with dragons, both wild and imprinted. Not that Azkadee had been wasting her time while around the Rider's mountain. She had become a thorn in their sides, picking off the trainees and badgering those dragons that had already taken a Rider. Gnawed up saddles, rock slides, clawed up stores... Az had made her presence and her purpose known to those slavers at the summit. No doubt the Riders desired an end to her incessant terrorizing, to see her wings clipped or worse... see her as one of them. Many an idiot trainee had actually sought out the white dragon, thinking that they would be the one to turn her. Many had been lucky enough to never find Azkadee. The unlucky never returned to the mountain's summit, although occasionally Az would take pity on the pathetic lumps of flesh and just dump them back from whence they came with soggy trousers, screaming in that irksome, high-pitched way that humans often did.
This human was interesting, though. He wasn't scared of her.... not much, and he wasn't trying to climb up her neck either. Like her, he was trying to escape his birthright. And his Light and Fluffy friend was as fierce and wily as any dragon kit. Chuckling, Az nudged the little female with the tip of her tail. Just a gentle tap to get her attention. <You would have made a wonderful dragon,> Az let her words slide silently into the girl's mind. With a small nod at the itty bitty, Az heaved herself to her feet. She had things to do...
Not really, she had just grown bored with her the puny humans. Stretching out her wings, Az rolled her shoulders. The white dragon reared, pushing herself off of the ground, and with a single strong downbeat, lifted her significant bulk off the ground. She didn't look back as she rose back into the sky, wheeling and reveling in the freedom of flight. Why would she? Humans, and their responses to her, were of little concern to a wild dragon.

<"Terrorizing the humans again are we Azkadee? Was it not our last meet that I expressed my immense disgust at your habits?"> The well known Rider spoke to the dragon, swooping down with his own Siluth. The black shadow swooping across the sky gave a thunderous shout as it spotted its fellow Dragon. Nothing was worse than a Dragons hatred, and Siluth was one that did not give up a grudge easily. <I know you dragon, you were a mate I desired long ago. Yet here you stand still petulant as the day you hatched.> With a low thunderous growl Siluth swooped in front of the white dragon, direct contrast to its own scales and bared his fangs.
Around this time of year Siluth would mate and father more dragon eggs, years ago Azkadee had interrupted his mating ritual, refusing to mate with him and scorning him in front of other dragons.
"I see humans, yet they are not devoured. I take back my word Azkadee. Perhaps you do have a good heart." With a devilish smirk the dragon rider circled the free dragon and spoke very tauntingly. Making sure his words were heard by the humans below. "What a woman."
Not waiting for any sort of response by the white dragon he swooped down to the ground not far away and waited until he could see his black beat rise high above the ground. <"I will return later. Do not taunt her too much."> Getting the dragons huff of pride the black beast rose high above the rest, swooping away and leaving the half elf rider to hide away in the shadows. Vanishing as if he had never once been.

<Then may we both retain our freedom, Valkenallen.> Valken nodded in a yes, a respectful mood came across he smiled to the white dragon. she seemed very nostalgic about the future, he liked that dragon, but to ride her, neither to be rid by other person, just as free as she was, that was why Az was perfect, because she never back down, she was always trying to stay free, and among all she still was the best dragon he was sure he will ever met. But certainly he waved at the dragon,a small wave, she could have eaten his hand for being ridiculous, but he was happy though the situation. And for Alice, he glanced very anxious, he didnt knew what he said wrong, seemed like she didnt wanted to go home. And will he carry with her among his way? to another city? will she be able to support his step? "Alice, You dont want to go home? If you dont want, were else am i going to take you? I cant let you here, any place in particular you want to go?" Valken said worried at Alice, while the white dragon was already in the sky, Valken noticed a black shadow near her in the air, a black dragon, that time he did felt scared, so scared that he went near Alice and with his eyes pointed the dragon. After that he hear a voice "What a woman" and he glanced trying to seek that voice, and walked very slow trying to identify from where that voice was coming "Who's there? show yourself!" Valken stated but again, he didnt know what to do, but play to the swords, he had a certain knowledge about swords but nothing enough to kill, he had never killed a human, never.

The touch of Azkadeen's tail made the girls eyes narrow, making the glare even more angry than before as she gave the dragon her attention. But Alice did not expect to hear Azkadee's voice so clearly in her mind only a moment later. At first, her eyes widened in surprise, then a grin broke out over her face. She'd managed to work a compliment out of the dragon. And better yet, the great white beast was leaving, so she wasn't going to be eaten.
The girl turned to Valken, looking down, somewhat ashamed at the way she'd snapped so easily. Her big sad eyes looked up at the man. "I'm sorry," she murmured bashfully. "I didn't mean to snap. It's just..." Alice glanced after Azkadee, then shook her head. "You can't take me anywhere," she said. "Not right now."
She opened her mouth, thinking perhaps she should explain further, but there was another voice. Aliced turned in the diretion of the voice. Valken was already walking, trying to identify where the voice was coming from. Alice redied her bow, arrow sweeping the area the voice had seemed to come from.

Valken stared at Alice very concerned, he couldnt let he there, so he suddenly started to think in what other options he could count with. Many things ruled his mind, but for once he thank that he wasnt all alone, he had steve and thunder and now a new friend called Alice, also he knew a Dragon, and seemed that Alice didnt wanted to stay at her home, and she didnt had anyone to be with her in that moment of her life, like him. So he suddenly rushed into words as he unsheathed his white sword and glanced at the tree's then at Alice "Its ok, I totally get your point Alice, but I wonder ... if I cant take you anywhere, then would you like to accompany me to nowhere?" he said at her, smiling and thinking that they could be very good friends. Maybe it was a journey he needed to do on his own, but perhaps he needed someone to take care of him, and someone to take care of.
But he was worried, he wanted to know from where that sound come from, it was definitely a male voice, but something wasnt right, and for instance he needed to protect Alice, his new friend, probably the only one. "Stay close Alice, this may be an ambush" he whispered, and prepared his sword to attack at the first movement.

From the shadows a figure hid watching the two others. His hand gently resting on the blade within his cloak. The pain in his chest was truly excruciating, making it difficult for him to do much without wincing. However he knew that he needed do keep his eyes well and truly glued to the wanderers. The male he knew by reputation; he was born to the family of riders well known even when Gwyndar was in training. That however did not make him any kinder toward the stranger. If anything it made him even more wary of being caught.
affter all, one who kills an elder of his own race is sure to never have his face forgotten.
Yet still even while he hid among the shadows he heard the boy call out for him and a dark chuckle escaped the wanted riders lips. "Boy don't ask for trouble." He growled, "You, little boy, could never out fight me with that pathetic excuse of a blade." He laughed again and stood from where he his. Turning and walking; not expecting to be followed on his way to Stryklak.

At first Alice grinned and her eyes filled with excitement. She desprately wanted to say yes, and whisk off to adventure with this man. But then her sense seized her. How could she say yes to this? Valken seemed like a nice man to her, but what would see lose if she went with him. Her tutor would be sad to see her go, but Alice knew she could always go see him. What else? Chessy. Oz. She would have to go home and get them. Alice could not leave behind her beloved friends. She looked up curiously at Valken.
"I'd love that," she said happily at first, then she looked down a little sadly. "But I think i have to go home. There are things there. Things I need." She looked back up at Valken. "Will you make me a promise?" she asked. "Will you come to Sandimont? Will you come and meet me in a month?" She looked seriously at the man. "Alek, there's something I need to do before I can come with you."
Nodding, Alice stayed close to Valken, keeping her bow drawn. It steadied as the man stood up and began to walk away. Alice lowered her bow, watching him curously. Her eyes glanced in the direction his dragon had gone. "Is he a dragon rider?" she wondered out loud. "Oh wow! I bet that's exciting!"

"I'd love that," Valken smiled at Alice, she was so happy, that would bring him some joy once in a while "But I think i have to go home. There are things there. Things I need." She looked back up at Valken and he just nodded and smiled “its alright Alice, just don’t fall into a black hole, and don’t kill bunnies either” he said and smiled again, then he turned back to see the silhouette in forest, he played with his sword, making it go in circles across his wrist. "Will you make me a promise?" she asked. Valken glanced again at her “Sure, what?” he said still smiling "Will you come to Sandimont? Will you come and meet me in a month?" She looked very decided, and he would need to know where Sandimont was in first time “Will you let me take you to your home personally?” he asked her serious to then went his face to the tree’s "Alek, there's something I need to do before I can come with you." Valken stopped walking and looked at her, he stood upright and he had this anxious face, what did she needed to do? . “What is-“ he was about to ask and then she interrupted him looking at the guy "Is he a dragon rider?" "Oh wow! I bet that's exciting!" he glanced back and saw the guy, oh a dragon rider, amazing; he thought as he nodded in disgust and sheathed his sword. “you think dragon riders are amazing?” he replied curious and tired at the same, he rolled his eyes and replied “its so easy to impress girls” he said laughing and glanced at the guy who mumbled things. "Boy don't ask for trouble." He growled, "You, little boy, could never out fight me with that pathetic excuse of a blade." Valken heard that and he just glanced at Alice with a confused eyes “Still attracted to riders?” a small grin came upon his face.

Aliced smiled happily. This would be great! She would never have to worry about her parents again if she left! But first she needed to prepare. She needed to pack some things, and get her cat and her rabbit. Perhaps she should bring some proof of her lineage in case she ever went back for some reason. That was what she needed to do. Alice brought herself back to the real world as she heard Valken speaking.
"Dragon riders amazing?" she repeated, turning red as Valken teased at her. Then the rude comment from the dragon rider, and Valken looked at her. "Still attracted to riders," he asked with a small grin. Alice stuck out her tongue at the man for a moment before responding. "I never said that," she shot. "I said exciting. I think it'd be wonderfully exciting to be partners with a dragon. To be able to go wherever and do just about whatever you want. You could travel and explore." Alice grinned at the thought, then looked back at Valken. "Whether or not that rider is amazing, or attractive to me is up to the rider."
