PERSONALITY
Nalean’s personality is split between common elvish traits and various human traits. Like most elves Nalean is highly intelligent and was always one of the best students in her class in the village school growing up. Although she often made sure that she was not the best in the class as she never wanted to appear superior to her classmates. Nalean also tends to stay calm in all situations when all the humans around her are panicking, a characteristic that is of extreme importance for healers. Patience is another characteristic that Nalean has inherited from her father, although most elves would see her as impatient. Nalean is also very good at hiding her emotions, a common characteristic among elves.
Although she has many elvish personality, Nalean also inherited some characteristics from her human mother. Nalean can get shy in certain situations and then tends to withdraw into herself. She can become very mean and short tempered in these situations, and tends to lash out at those around her. Nalean also struggles to fit in as she easily becomes extremely self conscious around people she doesn’t know, and she has very little confidence when forced into situations where she has to meet new people. However, when Nalean is around those she feels comfortable around she is a completely different person. Nalean can be witty with a sharp tongue. She becomes extremely sarcastic and at times cheeky, which is the polar opposite of the person she tends to be around most people.

HISTORY:Nalean was born to Isabella and Adanion Silverstar in a small village just outside Stryklak. Her father was an elf who was banished from the elvish city of Stalaga, yet he refuses to tell those around him what he was banished for. His stubborn silence caused many rumours to swirl throughout the small village about why the quiet gentle-hearted elf was banished for. Some rumours were just plain ridiculous while others were more dark and sinister. Nalean had a fairly quiet and uneventful upbringing despite the rumours about her father. The women in the village were fairly intolerant of bullies and if a mother caught her child or any child bullying the shy and withdrawn halfblood the bully would receive a lashing from both the whip and the mother’s tongue. No one could explain it but for some reason the girl crept into the hearts of almost all the villagers.
As Nalean reached adolescence she slowly crept out of her shell and gained a small group of friends. Even though she was more sociable, she was still extremely shy and preferred to blend into the crowd as opposed to standing out. Nalean would often withdraw into herself and preferred her own company to the company of others. Her parents forced her to be more sociable, scared that their daughter would become a total recluse. In school, Nalean preferred to be in the top half of her class, than constantly be top of her class. Even in magic Nalean refused to stand out which meant originally her teachers thought she had not inherited her father’s gift with magic and sorcery. Her parents believed this as well until her father caught her practicing in the barn, he confronted his daughter and she admitted that her powers scared her. She explained to her father that at times her powers would suddenly flair up and she was scared that this would one day end in disaster. Nalean’s father knew what was happening to his daughter’s powers, and also knew that only elves in Stalaga would be able to help as they had ensured that he would not be able to spread the secrets of his people to those outside the city. Yet he was to stubborn to allow his daughter to travel to the ancient city.
Once Nalean finished her schooling, she joined her father in his profession of healing, although she focused more on healing animals than people. Nalean soon found that when she was healing, her powers would rarely flair up. She assumed it was because when she was healing, she controlled her powers more than with other forms of magic. Nalean has been healing animals in her village for two years and is beginning to feel restless. She wants to find out more about her father’s people, and why they banished him from their city. She has heard all the rumours surrounding his banishment and wants to see if there is any truth to any of the rumours.

Lucy frowned as she dismounted her horse. The day had been rather unproductive in terms of thievery. It seemed as though the citizens of Xaranth were becoming more and more cautious with their personal belongings and even the army was becoming more cautious with their weapons. Not that long ago it would have been easy for the thieves to steal weapons from the Xaranth army and sell it on the dark market, now you were considered lucky just to be able to steal a dagger from them. She frowned as she looked through the items in her saddle bag. A purse from a rich merchant and a few trinkets that were moderately valuable, not a very good taking at all.
She shook her head and tacked off Carrow. She placed the few items in a cloth bag that hung on a hook next to Carrow's stall, still feeling disappointed at what she had managed to steal. Truthfully it wasn't even half of what she usually managed to bring in. She entered the rowdy bar and looked around to see if there were any other thieves in there that she knew. When she saw no one that she knew, she walked towards the barman with a small frown on her face wondering how would the guild react to this. The barman was cleaning a glass when she sat down at the bar. He simply nodded at the bag in her hand, "Need to be more careful about that miss" he simply said. She could barely stop herself from rolling her eyes, this was the one part about being a thief that she hated. All the codes and secrecy got tiresome for her at times.
She nodded at the man next to her, recognising him as the man she had to give her takings to. He simply let his hand drop to his side as she passed her bag to him. He then slipped a small bag of coins in her hand before he stood up and walked out of the pub. She looked around wondering if anyone had seen the exchange, she always had this fear that someday an agent of the king may see an exchange occur and then proceed to arrest all those who were in the bar. "The usual?" the barman asked her and she nodded. He placed a glass full of liquid infront of her and she sat there swirling the liquid around, not really in the mood for a drink.
